About School Reviews
Because every child deserves equal opportunity and good education.
We believe every family in Sweden deserves clear, honest information about the schools and preschools in their neighbourhood — no matter where they live or what language they speak at home.
Why this matters
Life begins with children. A tree bends while it is young, and the direction we give children shapes everything that follows. The right school or preschool is not just a place to learn — it is where confidence, curiosity and character take root. When families have honest, clear information, they can choose the environment that helps every child grow in the right direction.
Our mission
To help every family in Sweden make an informed school choice, by bringing official school data and real experiences from parents, students and staff together in one place that is free to use.
Our vision
A Sweden where choosing a school is not a guess. Where a parent new to the country has the same insight as a parent who grew up around the corner, and where schools get honest, constructive feedback from the families they serve.
What we do
Search every school
Preschools, primary schools, gymnasiums and adult education across Sweden — searchable by name, municipality or your own address.
Compare side by side
Put up to three schools or preschools next to each other and compare merit values, qualified staff, group sizes and ratings.
Read and write reviews
Parents, current and former students, staff and neighbours share what daily life at a school is really like.
Learn the system
Plain-language guides on meritvärde, SALSA, queues and applications — for families who are new to the Swedish school system.
What we stand for
Independent
No school can pay to rank higher, hide a review, or change its score.
Transparent
Every statistic links back to its public source, and we say clearly when data is missing or out of date.
Respectful
Reviews are moderated. We remove personal attacks, naming of individual staff or children, and anything unverifiable.
Bilingual and free
Everything is available in Swedish and English, and always free for families.
How we are funded
School Reviews is ad-supported. Advertising keeps the site free for families and has no influence on ratings, rankings or moderation decisions.
Every preschool, primary school, gymnasium and adult education unit in Sweden is searchable — and standalone preschools that aren't yet in the registry can be added by the community and approved by moderators.
